Prof. Clement Mboto

Biography :

Clement Ibi Mboto is a Professor of Virology. He is the current President of the Nigerian Society for Virology. He has over twenty-eight years of experience in teaching and research at various prestigious institutions. Prof. Mboto is a staff member of the University of Calabar and the lead researcher of the Viro-Bio Research Group. He is presently on sabbatical with Taraba State University, Nigeria. He has held key positions in several universities and was a visiting scholar at renowned institutions in Nigeria, Ghana, and The Gambia. In 2015 and 2016, he was honoured as one of the top 500 Nigerian scientists in Nigerian institutions. With an unwavering commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements, Prof. Mboto remains at the forefront of his profession and the scientific world. His research interests are in viral hepatology and medicinal applications of local herbs in managing viral hepatitis
